2011 HIGHLANDER CYCLE TOUR RIDES REVISED!
The 100 mile Highlander and the 100 Km Midlander are back this year, renamed the Quads Hilla and Quads Hilla Lite. But to satisfy those seeking more challenge the DB4D remains an option. For details go to the ride page. Since the scenic Corkscrew Century proved so popular last year we kept most of it the same but eliminated a bad section through the village of Potter and replaced the Middlesex part with the more scenic Italy Valley road. Also we modified the route from Prattsburg down to Branchport, choosing less traveled country roads with better views of Keuka Lake. You might want to bring a camera to save some of the scenic views if not a wine glass and stop along the way. The 40 mile Yodeler ride remains the basically the same but has been rerouted to so that the last 5 miles from the Scenic Overlook rest stop follows the century rides in case the Yodelers wish to join the century riders. In addition 16 and 11 mile options have been added for family riders.
High Tri Challenge
For the triathletes who push the limits, we offer the High Tri Challenge which combines riding the Highland Cycle Tour on Saturday with the Finger Lakes Triathlon.

IMPORTANT SAFETY REMINDER
The Highlander prides itself on providing a safe, well run, and accommodating event for all participants. The Highlander staff takes the safety of the riders, the spectators, and the communities through which we ride very seriously. To promote this, each rider should have read and follow the NYS DOT cycling guidelines, found here:
https://www.nysdot.gov/portal/page/portal/divisions/operating/opdm/local-programs-bureau/biking
If riders do not follow these guidelines, the Highlander may be forced to limit or terminate the ride. Your help and attention to keep the highlander a safe, premium tour is appreciated.
