PROLOGUE TIME TRIALS
Climb? Fast? Climb Fast? Do you have what it takes?
Here are the 2009 individual and team time trial results.
INDIVIDUAL TIME TRIAL
The Mountain Prologue Time Trial is a true test of character. The 5 mile TT course features 1100 foot elevation gain, including the climb of "Alpe de Gannett", a gut-wrenching climb at any speed of 800 feet in less than a mile. The mountaintop finish is reminiscent of the TDF climbs (L'Alpe D'Huez, Col de la Tourmalet, etc). Riders will be able to test themselves, but also shoot for the course record of with a 19:28.9, established in 2008 by our 5-time undefeated champion Cheyne Hoag. See how last years victims/participants, fared in past tours [timing provided by Yellow Jacket Training. Our thanks to David and Ellen Boutillier]
TEAM TIME TRIAL
The Inaugural Mountain Prologue Team Time Trial brings the missing component of teammanship in overcoming significant challenge to the Highlander. The 22mile Team TT course features over 2200 feet of elevation gain, including the oft raced climbs of Le Grande Egypt and the incomparable "Col de Gannett", a gut-wrenching climb at any speed of 800 feet in less than a mile with grades up to 18%. The event will test the teams as they must finish together and find out which combination of tactics gets them across the line the fastest. All in all, it promises to raise the excitement on the hill to new levels. Will YOU take the challenge?

The 22 mile Mountain Prologue Team TT is a 2 person team event with plenty of hills to challenge. The course starts at Bristol Mountain Ski Area, makes a clock-wise circle around Bristol Mountain and ends on Top of Gannett Hill. It will be timed so that riders will be on course at the same time as the individual TT and will finish at the same place in roughly the same time climbing up Gannett Hill Road finishing in Ontario County Park. 3 categories - MM, FF, MF are planned with significant prizes from local bike shops at stake.
First team will go off from Bristol Mountain at 4pm.
